Everything you Need to Know about Art Week Boston

The most creative time of the year is fast approaching. ArtWeek returns to Massachusetts from April 26 to May 5, 2019. Do you want to know more? Let’s dive right in!

About ArtWeek

What started in 2013 as an art festival in towns and neighborhoods in Eastern Massachusetts has morphed into a statewide festival. At its core, ArtWeek is an inclusive and affordable event “for anyone with a creative sense of adventure.”

You’ll find events at museums, landmarks, restaurants, galleries, parks, libraries and open studios. This is a chance to dive deep into the world of art, music, culinary experimentation and mixology. Furthermore, many venues will offer behind-the-scenes access to artists or the creative process. Whether you are looking to be inspired or just witness art in the making, ArtWeek has something for everyone.

Special Programs

Art of Food
During ArtWeek, restaurants create a special ArtWeek menu item inspired by a piece of art, a favorite album, artist or an arts group. The creations are delicious, creative and photo-worthy.

ArtWeek on the Road
Do you tend to notice roadside billboards? During ArtWeek, we guarantee that you will. Select billboards will be featuring artwork from participating organizations.

Light Up the Night
No need to wait for Christmas. Experience seeing iconic buildings and structures illuminated at night — in the middle of spring!
